Hi hi! Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and with such a hectic year, taking a little time to show your valentine some love can make all the difference! Expressing your love is done through different love languages and although everyones’ differ, expressing your love through dance can make you and your partner feel extra special through a rather interesting year. So, without further ado, here are some ways you can express your love language through dance to your special someone.
1. Spend that quality time with your partner by dancing
What better way to get into a loving mood than with some quality time with your loved one. Dancing at the start of the day will boost your serotonin, get you energetic and will make you feel like you can take on the day. So blast you and your partner’s favourite music and dance like nobody's watching! Spending that quality time with your partner will bring you closer to one another and you will be able to make some lovely memories. You can dance while brushing your teeth, making brunch, or even when you are getting ready to walk your dog. Giving your full attention to your partner and spending quality time will make them feel all sorts of special.
2. Partner having a rough day? Try dancing it out together.
Maybe work is starting to get a little heavy, they are stressed out, or even burnt out; try dancing to let them burn off that stress. Show them a little extra love with some dancing, play their favourite song, grab them by the hand and pull them in for a lovely little dance. Show your partner lots of love by hugging them, synchronizing your movements and sharing a kiss each time you get close. Encourage them to do their favourite dance moves and before you know it, both of you are sharing an endearing moment and creating a lasting memory. If you have some furry friends dance with them, nothing is better than dancing with everyone you love.
Extra Tip: Show off some funny moves, it will get them laughing which in turn will get you laughing and next thing you know you’ll create an unforgettable moment you’ll be talking about for years to come.
3. Post-Dinner Dance
Picture this, you just finished having a special meal with your favourite person with candle light and music is playing in the background; what better way to end dinner than with some dancing? Play some romantic music in the background, grab your partner's hand and dance with them in the middle of the living room. Expressing your love through dance doesn’t have to be over the top, it can be through simple movements such as rocking back and forth, holding them in your arms and simply enjoying your time.
Tip: If you and your valentine share a special song, play that! They’re going to love it!
4. Serenade your love with a dance.
Expressing your love to your valentine can be done through many ways such as gift giving, through music, or even doing something special like cooking for them. But one way to spice things up is by dancing for them! Learning a dance that you will show your Valentine will get them feeling all sorts of love. Give them the gift of a special dance, by spending the time to learn a routine and by showing it to them will make them feel extra special and extra grateful to have you as a partner. Serenading your love with a sultry dance is a perfect way to end off the night, and you can use that routine anytime you would like, it doesn’t have to be Valentine’s Day ;)
Although Valentine’s is looking a little different this year than most, taking some time to make the most of it will make it feel all the more special for you and your valentine!
